Site Rental Pricing

Shake Rag Alley Center for the Arts rents out its spaces for other profit and non-profit groups to host meetings, festivals, showers and educational events. The following rates reflect the cost per building and rental fees per day (a typical day is considered 8am-5pm but arrangements for earlier setup can be made. All events must end by 11pm.)

Shake Rag Alley cannot confirm a rental of our classroom spaces (Potters, Cabinet Shop, Barn, Ellery, Cafe and Lind Pavilion) on weekends until our workshop schedule is finalized, December 1st for the following year. (Ex: 2020 dates can’t be guaranteed until December 1st, 2019)

 The Green: is the outdoor space located in the front and central portion of the campus. This space is approx. 1080 square feet and can be used for a variety of events. The Green can be wired for some electrical access; the need for this should be stated two weeks prior to the event. *The Green has limited availability until early Summer. Please inquire. $200.00 
   The Café: is the lower level of the second building on campus, just behind the office. This space is approx. 450 square feet and can be used in order to offer limited food service. A specific vendor holding his or her own license may operate out of the space using good care. Renters may use the coffee pots, microwave and sinks. With advance notice, the small fridge and freezer may also be made available for use. The Wi-Fi is accessible from this space. There is access to electricity. This space has heat and air conditioning and comes with two long tables and a few chairs. $50.00
   Ellery House: is used for youth programs. This space is approx. 200 square feet and a second room 160 square feet. There is a kitchen, fridge, full bathroom and washer and dryer in addition to varied workspaces. All of the facilities will be made available however the washer and dryer which are used to process the lodging laundry will be given first preference to Shake Rag Alley housekeeping staff. If the calendar allows that there are no guests staying, the renter can utilize this equipment. Wi-Fi is accessible from this space, but not the highest signal. There is access to electricity as well as heat and AC. $100.00 
   Alley Stage: is our outdoor theater. The rental of the theater will include the Alley Stage chairs (100). These must stay in place at Alley Stage. Rental of the stage is available from 8am-11pm. The stage should be returned as it was; no items should be affixed to stage. Alley Stage at Shake Rag Alley may still present shows during evening hours even if falling on the night of a rental. There is access to electricity. This price doesn’t includes the use of technical staff on site during the event. $250.00  
   Barn: the barn is only rentable for its exterior. No events may take place inside the welding space or upstairs. There is access to electricity. $25.00
   Potter’s House: is approx. 350 square feet in size. There is no running water in the space, however there is close access to an outdoor faucet. There is access to electricity. This space has an AC unit and baseboard heaters. $100.00
   Log Cabin: is approx. 150 square feet in size. There is no running water in the space; electricity is possible, but renter should state need at time of contract signing for access to electricity. No heating or air conditioning. $25.00
   Cabinet Shop: is approximately 600 square feet in size. There is no running water in the space. The large format, heavy-duty wooden tables come with the use of this space. These can be used at no extra cost. There is access to electricity. This space has heat and an AC unit. $200.00 
   Lind Pavilion: is approximately 3200 square feet. The Lind Pavilion has running water, HVAC and restrooms located in the building. This spacious mid-20th century building is the perfect spot for a large workshop or event. ADA compliant and handicap accessible. Set-up of 20 chairs and six 8’ tables included. Additional set-up available, charges are variable.
Max Capacity: 150 Monday - Thursday daytime $100, evening $150
Friday, Saturday or Sunday $600 (or $400/per side)

Additional Rental Items:
Tent rental for use on the Green
Up to 6 tents can be rented for $50/ tent. The cost will include the setup and teardown of the tents on our Green.
If an outside vendor is to erect tents on the Green, please be sure to place the vendor in contact with us at least two weeks in advance to discuss scheduling of set up and take down of tents.
Setup scheduling between the renter and Shake Rag Alley needs to be approved 2 weeks before the event date. At this time an emergency weather schedule should be discussed.
Tables and Chairs
There is a limited supply of tables available for rental. There are 15 eight foot tables available and 5 six foot tables available. Tables can be rented for $5 each. This fee includes their setup and breakdown.
There are 70 chairs available for rental. Chairs can be rented for $3 each. This fee includes their setup and breakdown.
Two weeks prior to an event, a full list of chair and table needs and corresponding locations should be provided to Shake Rag Alley for use in setup.
