Blacksmithing Starts Second Season

The blacksmith’s barn opened in May with beginning and intermediate level workshops running through October plus open labs every fourth Sunday. Instruction takes place outside under a wide pavilion skirting the barn, offering a pleasant view and good ventilation. We have four forges, so students will usually share a forge. We have an abundance of hammers and tongs in many sizes for students to experiment with. Our thanks to UMBA (Upper Midwest Blacksmith Association) for their generous support for our program. Most of our instructors are UMBA members. We offer a 10% discount to UMBA members on all of our blacksmithing classes.
