|Hands-On Image Making Fun!
September 28-October 1, 2017
Explore for four days an inspiring variety of printmaking techniques, most of which involve printing simply and easily by hand. So get colorful inks on your fingers—and maybe in your blood—while learning traditional Hanga Japanese woodcuts, multi-color and reduction linocuts, hand-colored woodcuts, soft-carved stamps, gel plates, stenciling, nature prints, gyotako fish prints, even silver clay imprints. All by hand. Etching and monoprint classes will use a portable press, and you'll be bug-eyed at the workshop on Vandercook letterpress printing with FOUR local Mineral Point Vandercooks!
Join us and sign up for as many classes as you can fit in the four days. You can't take 'em all, but you can talk to everyone about everything at communal lunches, and we'll put your print samples on show, and one night we'll have a Gelli Plate Fiesta so bring yours and we'll all make art and have fun. Other evening events are planned. Sign up and we'll send you more info!
