PRINTMAKING RETREAT
Hands-On Image Making Fun!

September 28-30, 2018

Explore an exciting array of printmaking workshops, most of which involve printing simply and easily by hand. Get colorful inks on your fingers—and maybe in your blood—while learning inspiring techniques of Moku Hanga Japanese woodcuts, multi-color linocuts, hand-colored woodcuts, monoprints, copper etching, and silk screen printing. Join in the fun and sign up for whatever intrigues you. Try a new technique or sign up for more fun in your favorite mode. Printmaking students will lunch together and peruse each other’s work (class fees include lunch).

If your preferred class is full, click here to join a waiting list.

18C346P - Making Monoprints

Monoprints are one-of-a-kind prints that are the most flexible and least intimidating of all the printmaking processes. Discover how you can create unique, painterly prints in a matter of hours using many of the same techniques used in watercolor and oil painting. All levels welcome. Philip will bring materials for printmaking and his portable press. You will be using Akua soy-based inks in class that clean up with water.

Class fee includes lunch.

Level: Novice and above

Tuition $115
Materials Fee $15
