The frame is finished in light walnut stain and measures about 12”x9.” As you complete the footstool you will have learned enough to feel confident about tackling your own project at home.

TRIBAL FIGURES

Create a nature assemblage tribal figure using lots of nature materials such as branches, twigs, nuts, and seeds for detailing plus your own personal embellishments. Diane lived in Africa for six months, and it definitely influences her art. Now she is anxious to share this fun and empowering art project. It can be very therapeutic. Just let yourself go and see who emerges.

MAKE A BENT WILLOW CHAIR

Bring a bit of nature into your home with a bent willow chair. The willow master, John Schakel, will bring plenty of green willow and lead you through the process of making a rustic, bent willow chair using hand tools. At the end of the workshop you will have a beautiful, handcrafted piece of rustic furniture to take home. (Be sure you have room to carry it in your vehicle.) You’ll enjoy every minute of this two-day class as you learn about working with willow from one of Wisconsin’s finest rustic furniture makers. This class is for everyone—no experience necessary.
