PLEIN AIR PAINTING IN SOFT PASTEL Pastel is perfect for depicting the various textures and colors of the landscape and is a very portable medium so it is ideal for plein air work. We will meet in the classroom for introductions and a short demonstration before going outside to work directly from nature. You will complete several small works that can be used as studies for larger studio works (or might stand alone as Plein-air masterpieces!). This class is for all levels; however, some previous pastel experience is recommended; beginners should consider taking the introductory class offered May 3. A supply list will be sent to you; some paper will be provided. Class is a full 7 hours per day so lunch break is brief - plan to bring a lunch or purchase a box lunch from Shake Rag. (Lunch options will be explained in your confirmation materials.) supply list CLASS CODE: 8B-760 class cancelled |
