Who says you need expensive tools and supplies to make great art and have fun? In this class, I’ll show you all my artist tricks on how I save money creating my own stamps, stencils, texture tools, alcohol inks, and more! Creating your own tools not only saves money, but more importantly, it is integral to your own unique journey as an artist! Whether you’ve been at this for years or are just starting out, making your own tools means making your own marks and finding your own unique voice. Make stencils, stamps, and texture tools that are unique to YOU. The second half of class will include a chance to play in our art journals with our new stencils, stamps, and tools!  We'll create our own unique collage papers and I’ll show you how to make some fun, vibrant pages and how to layer and work with your new goodies!

Materials fee includes:
*A kit of my favorite recycled art paper, vintage paper, scrapbook paper, sample of texture items and mark making tools to start your collection, cardboard backing, sheet of sticker foam, foam sticker shapes, manilla folder, glossy paper
*Use of shared materials such as oil pastels, watercolor, spray ink, acrylic paint, brushes, glue guns, hot glue sticks, etc.

Level: Novice and above

Student Supply List:
*Art journal (to practice and take notes)
*Ranger heat resistant craft mat
*Scissors and glue stick
Optional items: you are welcome to bring your own spray inks and paint, but I will have plenty to share! If you have an idea of patterns or shapes in mind, you can bring some reference images, but I will have those, too!

Tuition $125
Materials Fee $15
