18A522B - Junk Drawer Art Charms

18A522B - Junk Drawer Art Charms

Yep, we’re going to make jewelry charms and dangles out of that little stuff that accumulates in your desk drawer, tool chest, sewing kit, child’s toy chest...or wherever...plus some decidedly non-traditional jewelry materials. Sharon will show you how to make nifty charms out of inexpensive craft materials and hardware store miscellany, introduce you to some great craft techniques, and teach you basic jewelry attachment techniques, then turn you loose on her collection of beads, wire, little doodads and charm fodder. Make as many charms as you have time for. Great for charm bracelets, as necklace pendants, or as earring dangles.

Level: Novice and above

Student Supply List:
- All necessary supplies furnished, but you are encouraged to bring your own doodads. Think game pieces, puzzles, sewing notions, old jewelry components, keys, tags, Barbie accessories, buttons...you get the picture. If we can figure out a way to attach it, it’s fair game!
- Bring any beads you would like to use to embellish your charms.
- Silver colored wire and findings will be supplied but if you prefer a different color you may bring your own.
- Tools will be available to use in class, but if you have them, please bring round nose pliers, chain nose pliers, and jewelry wire cutters. (Inexpensive beginner sets from the craft store are fine.)

Tuition $55
Materials Fee $5
