19R201C - Weave a Cozy Cotton Scarf – From Start to Finish

19R201C - Weave a Cozy Cotton Scarf – From Start to Finish

Through hands-on experience, acquire the skills to set up a four-harness tabletop loom and get weaving!

On the first day you will wind the three-yard warp on a warping board and dress the loom (threading the heddles and winding the warp onto the loom). We will need to focus and complete this step during the first day. Then you’ll learn to read a draft (pattern) and weave a sampler of plain (tabby) weave and an assortment of twill weaves. On day two, you’ll weave a full-length scarf of perle cotton, size 3/2 yarns. Finishing options will be demonstrated and discussed. Each student will have a loom to work on. Bring your own or use one of ours! Yarn will be provided.

Level: Beginner and above

Tuition $195
Materials Fee $25
