A08 - Make Tin Can Forge and Carving Knife

Yes, Denny is going to show you how to make your own forge from a coffee can padded with insulating material. While yours is drying, he will demonstrate how to use the forge to create a small woodcarving knife blade from a drill bit. In the afternoon you will create your own woodcarving knife using this small format forge, and add a nifty cholla cactus handle to your knife. You will take home a forge and a carving knife.

Student Supply List:
portable drill, 1/4” drill bit, heavy hammer, gloves, apron to protect clothing. wood rasp. Wear old clothes, closed shoes.
