July 12, 2018

A01 - Log Cabin Skills

A01 - Log Cabin SkillsA01 - Log Cabin Skills

Alan is Wisconsin’s Log Cabin Expert and former director of restoration at Old World Wisconsin. He will take you back in time to explore a bit of the history of the log cabin at Shake Rag Alley (thought to be Wisconsin’s original schoolhouse and courthouse). Then you will have a chance to try your hand at shingle splitting using a froe & mallet, and finally create frameable art by taking rubbings of the historic 1830 corner notches. Fascinating and informative.
