18A675 - Toolmaking for Blacksmiths

Join Greg Winz for a one-day class that focuses on tool making for blacksmiths. You’ll work on forging punches and chisels. Greg, a technician at UW Madison, will teach you about alloy selection, proper forging techniques for these materials, plus how to heat treat them. You’ll go home with some handy tools for both blacksmithing and general use.

Level: Intermediate and above

Student Supply List:
Please wear cotton clothing and leather shoes. Bring safety glasses if you have them.
