Rivets are a form of cold connection. They are the most widely used and versatile of all cold connections allowing you to join items together without soldering. We will spend the day learning how to rivet using standard rivets, tube rivets and ball rivets. We will use them for their function as well as for their decorative possibilities. At the end of class you will have one or two finished pieces of jewelry. What piece(s) that will be is up to you! It could be a cuff, a pair of earrings or a pendant. Let your creative juices flow! The Shake Rag Alley Studio is fully furnished with tools and equipment. Copper and brass wire and sheet are provided. You may purchase silver wire and sheet from the instructor if desired.

Level: Beginner and above
