A Mixed Media Art Retreat! 

Thur–Sun, August 22–25, 2019

Immerse yourself in art making at Art Adventure. 

Four days of workshops in collage, assemblage, mixed media jewelry, and fiber arts, altered books, cement/mosaic, and more. All skill levels welcome!

Connect with other art adventurers, explore the charming art community of Mineral Point, and experience the magic of Shake Rag Alley, "the place that inspires creativity."

Who are you, and how did you get here? This mixed media workshop will encourage everyone to address questions like these. Workshop attendees are asked to bring one or more photos of themselves plus an assortment of personally significant objects to work with. We’ll examine the narrative potential of objects pulled from your past (or your present) and explore the expressive properties of an assortment of media, such as acrylic paint, ink, markers, gouache, and colored pencil. Ultimately, the result will be a composite portrait full of accumulated imagery that gives insight into the personality of the artist.

Level: Beginner and above

Student Supply List:
Bring one or more photos of yourself plus an assortment of personally significant objects to work with. All art materials supplied but you may bring your own supplemental materials if desired.

Tuition $110
Materials Fee $20
