Shake Rag Alley ProgramsWorkshops
|Workshops at Shake Rag Alley are informative and fun…and sometimes hard
to find anywhere else. We enjoy offering workshops in just about every
art and craft medium you can imagine:
Over 200 workshops are held from late winter through mid-November.
Classes range from half-day project-oriented workshops to week-long full
immersion workshops that provide an opportunity to fully explore a
media. All skill levels are welcome. If you are an experienced Art,
Craft, Writing, or Performance Art instructor and are interested in
teaching at Shake Rag Alley click here for more information.
Other Adult Programs include Custom Retreats, annual themed Workshop Events, and every first Wednesday of the month we host a Women's Art Party, where you'll find women who drop in to share creative ideas and enjoy projects.
Our motto is "Inspire Creativity." And we do that well!
The goal of the Shake Rag Alley Youth Enrichment Program is to help children develop their creativity in a nurturing, non-competitive environment. These classes encourage children to develop new talents, confidence, and self-esteem, while exploring a broad spectrum of the arts and humanities.
The Youth Summer Program offers a wide range of classes for kids from Kindergarten through 12th grade taught by talented and creative instructors, including many local Mineral Point artists. These classes include arts & crafts, creative drama, nature crafts, fairy fun, magic camp, Laura Ingalls-Wilder Day, plus so much more!
|Built around partnerships with the Council for Wisconsin Writers and Wisconsin People & Ideas, and the Wisconsin Poet Laureate Commission through the Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts & Letters, the series runs between the months of November through April, and includes workshops, readings and community outreach activities featuring these organizations’ annual writing contest winners,||who will be enjoying week-long residencies at Shake Rag Alley. In addition, Shake Rag Alley Center for Arts and Crafts offers several unique, low-cost artist residencies through a juried application process. Additional events and series information will be announced throughout the fall and winter as scheduled.|
