Create dramatically textured jewelry by fusing sterling silver scraps to a sterling silver base. Fusing is achieved, without the use of solder, by heating two pieces of metal that are touching to their melting point, resulting in the two pieces joining (fusing) into one piece. In addition, learning to fuse silver without melting is a huge cost and time saver. Students may create as many finished pieces as time allows, but concentration will be on mastering the technique and experimentation. Previous metal working experience recommended.
