19R228J - Combine Metal Clay and Traditional Metal Work


In the morning you will create your fine silver focal piece with Precious Metal Clay, forming, drying, and firing your piece to be ready to rivet it to copper sheet metal in the afternoon to create a pendant. After lunch you will be introduced to some basic metal-working techniques including texturing copper sheet with hammers, riveting, finishing edges and applying patina. You will then rivet your PMC piece or pieces to your textured copper sheet and take home a finished piece of jewelry!

Materials fee includes
9 grams of fine silver clay, copper sheet metal, rivets, and any disposables necessary. Chain, ear wires, and hooks may be purchased directly from the instructors.

Level: Beginner and above

Student Supply List:

Tools will be provided, but if you have tools, please bring them with you.

Materials Fee paid to instructor in class: $28
Please bring cash or check.
