19R297B - Blacksmithing a Tomahawk


 

Learn to forge a tomahawk using a traditional coal forge. The hawk will be made by using a wrapped construction method with a carbon steel bit forge-welded in for the cutting edge. Handles will be provided and installed if time allows. Students need to have a good working knowledge of forge welding in a coal fire.

Level:
Intermediate and above

Please wear cotton clothing and leather shoes. Bring safety glasses if you have them.
