19R137B - Hammer, Anvil, and Forge


 

Learn traditional methods of forging steel on a coal forge, hammering it into handy hooks of many shapes, and even working it into decorative leaves for key rings and other uses. You’ll learn how to set up the fire in the forge, how to handle hammers and tongs, and how to twist iron with the vise. This beginning class will get you started in the black art and you’ll soon be ready for more.

Level: Beginner and above

Student Supply List:
Please wear natural fiber clothing (cotton/wool). Bring safety glasses if you have them.
